The All Money In & No Money Out CEO, who made a name for himself with the Bullets Ain’t Got No Names mixtape series, has been hard at work perfecting his debut album, South Central State of Mind, set to be released in 2010.
Nipsey Hussle is currently in New York City, and plans on putting in studio time with artists such as Freddie Gibbs, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Big Sean, and French Montana. If you follow his Twitter account this week, you can stay up on his efforts.
Nipsey’s music is often a reflection of his surrounding environment, and with tracks such as “We Gang Bangin” and “The Hussle Way” he gives us a view into the harsh realities of LA street life.
Receiving a large amount of co-signs and comparisons to fellow LA emcee, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle is an artist to keep your eye on. For more information on his music and background, check out our feature article.
Last night, HipHopAtLunch.com met up with Nipsey Hussle during his NYC studio time to discuss his All Money In & No Money Out label, headlining LA’s Haiti Benefit Concert, working with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y for the Smokey Robinson mixtape, and the upcoming album, South Central State of Mind.
That Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, and Nipsey Hussle track is going to be crazy. Be sure to grab Smokey Robinson as it drops on February 7th, aka Superbowl Sunday.
I agree with Nipsey Hussle’s decision to push back the release of South Central State of Mind in an effort to capitalize on new relationships and business developments. As an artist, you only get one first impression and, with Nipsey’s talent, it would be a shame to rush this project.
Here’s some footage from LA’s Haiti benefit concert:
It looks like everyone had a great time while raising money for the unfortunate situation in Haiti.
Since I already wrote about Drake and Nispey Hussle’s “Killer” in my previous article, I’ll simply include the video below:
Big shout out to Larrance of 1500 for producing that track!
Nipsey gives Drake a run for his money on “Killer,” with an impressive guest verse. If you’re interested in seeing the lyrics, I wrote them out here.
I look forward to hearing South Central State of Mind, and I’m especially excited for the next mixtape series which Nipsey hinted to, in our interview! Be sure to visit both SlausonBoy.com and NipseyHussle.com to stay up on all of Nipsey’s activities.

Nipsey’s music is often a reflection of his surrounding environment, as he gives us a view into the harsh realities of the LA street life. Before his hip hop career, Nipsey was involved with South Central's Rolling Sixties Crips, and even owned his own clothing store.
Nipsey Hussle's motto of “All Money In, No Money Out,” stresses the labor, regardless of the fruits of one’s labor. This hustle mentality coupled with an impressive amount of co-signs and comparisons to fellow L.A. emcee Snoop Dogg, has brought Nipsey's music to the public eye.
