The Dream – Love King Remix (Featuring Jeezy)

Similar to “I Luv Your Girl,” The Dream once again reaches out to Young Jeezy for a guest verse on the remix to his latest hit, “Love King.”  Although this track is off of The Dream’s third studio album, it carries the same “club anthem” sound that made him famous in his debut release.

Here’s The Snowman’s guest verse:

“You don’t know me like that, but you’re supposed to,
Call me Young Phil Jackson, let me coach you,
Like a sold out Jizzle show, let me promote you,
Call me beat-it-up therapy, let me consult you,
I’m feelin myself, I’m looking way too good,
Yea they on me like that, yea that’s on my hood,
I dont know who she talk to, talking about she got a man,
He ain’t said nothing, listen girl I got a plan,
You got fifteen minutes, tell that lame to get lost,
Look like you got some money on your head,
I’mma knock your ass off,
Young hit man, one shot, one kill,
On my twenty-second shot, I lied one spilled,
She an undercover freak, let her get her freak on,
And I left her in the room, let her get her sleep on,
I can see you in the club same time, next week,
You don’t know me like that, might barely even speak.”

Jeezy’s Young Phil Jackson line and his suggesting that girls tell their lames to get lost had me cracking up!

Keep an eye out for the Love King to drop on May 17th.

Miguel – “All I Want Is You” (Featuring J.Cole)

J.Cole drops a few verses about the girl who got away between Miguel’s smooth singing on “All I Want Is You.”  Seeing how this collaboration is so easy on the ears while also carrying some impressive lyrics, I hope we see these two work together more often!

Here’s J.Cole’s second verse:

“I hit the club when you left me, thinking that could heal,
Tryin to celebrate my Independence day, Will Smith,
Baby girl who I’m kiddin, still sick, real ish,
All my new ones seem to get old, real quick,
And could it be,
You everything that these plain bitches couldn’t be,
Is it a sign from the Lord that I shouldn’t be,
Lost in a player way, so they get old to me,
Got me on lay-a-way, girl you got a hold of me,
I say I’m wrong, you say come again,
Damn, said I was wrong, look don’t rub it in,
I got a lot on my mind, got like a flock full of dimes,
Like a line full of hoes, how they comin in, just sayin,
Don’t wanna have me then somebody will, I’m playin,
Weight on my chest like I body build, I’m prayin,
You ain’t content with doing your thing,
‘Aye Come back baby boomerang.”

Some more impressive lyrics we’ve come to expect from XXL’s Freshman to watch in 2010.

Label: Roc Nation

Hometown: Fayetteville, NC

After hearing J.Cole’s self-produced track, “Lights Please,” Jay-z signed the North Carolina artist to his Roc Nation label. This record deal put a lot of attention on the young emcee, who quickly released one of 2009’s best projects in The Warm Up mixtape. Now, unlike a number of popular southern hip hop artists who release material regularly to stay relevant, J.Cole has managed to keep his buzz alive for a little over a year since releasing that tape. His impressive lyricism even landed him a guest spot on Jay-z’s The Blueprint 3 album, opening the door to nation-wide exposure. J.Cole’s debut album is set to be released in late 2010.
