While we wait for the “Who Dat” video to drop, J.Cole blesses fans with this unreleased track.  Here’s Jermaine’s first verse about gold diggin’ women:

“What up girl, tell me how you feelin,
You look sweet enough to make a nigga need a fillin’,
If you got a man, do that nigga need a fill in?
She said looks kill and I’m trynna make a killin,
God willin’, I’ll be chillin on a boat nigga,
Love is a gamble, I ain’t dealing with no broke nigga,
Down in Miami with a super hoe team,
Trynna bag a brother with a Super Bowl ring,
Or she down in Dallas at the All-Star game,
Spittin’ All-Star game,
Trynna get a nigga with a All-Star name,
Something like James, something like Wade,
If you’re something like paid, you can fuck tonight,
Yea she’s saying fuck some nice J’s,
What about your life savings?
Won’t spend her life slaving,
So she graduated, rich nigga wife training,
And if you got money, man the head is amazing.”

I hope this smart, radio friendly track is a good indication of what we can expect to hear on J.Cole’s debut album!

Big K.R.I.T. – “Behind Glass”

The talented emcee and producer, who recently signed a deal with Def Jam and got co-signed by David Banner, drops a new track for us to enjoy, “Behind Glass.”

Big K.R.I.T. comments on his struggle to make it:

“It’s like I never had a chance,
Never woulda, never coulda,
Even if I planned, to brace myself for impact,
Then straightened up my stance,
Callin’ on the Lord as I repent in advance,
With this money in my hand,
And I just pour it on a stripper,
She hustlin like me, so who am I not to tip her?
The ice hits the glass, as the neon lights flicker,
Broke’s in my past,
As you can see it didn’t last, but it’s something I remember,
It’s cold in December,
But colder in the streets,
I spazzed on my girl, so she ain’t called me in weeks,
But I could give a fuck, at least I’m still free,
My partner losin’ hope, and I can hear it when he speak,
Cause they hit ‘em with a charge,
And all I really wanted was for us to live large,
Condos with the views and pretty bitches that minaj,
Cribs for the fam and a Benz in the garage,
Oh Lord, if I could see the world behind glass.”

Big K.R.I.T. turned heads with the release of his K.R.I.T. Wuz Here album through Cinematic Music Group and GFCNY. K.R.I.T. stands for “King Remembered in Time,” and if the Southern emcee’s creative production and exceptional lyricism are any indicators of his career’s longevity, he'll surely be remembered.

In addition to producing his own music, Big K.R.I.T. runs Multi-Records, a label set up to give Mississippi artists support, and is a member of the rap group The Alumni.

Label: Roc Nation

Hometown: Fayetteville, NC

After hearing J.Cole’s self-produced track, “Lights Please,” Jay-z signed the North Carolina artist to his Roc Nation label. This record deal put a lot of attention on the young emcee, who quickly released one of 2009’s best projects in The Warm Up mixtape. Now, unlike a number of popular southern hip hop artists who release material regularly to stay relevant, J.Cole has managed to keep his buzz alive for a little over a year since releasing that tape. His impressive lyricism even landed him a guest spot on Jay-z’s The Blueprint 3 album, opening the door to nation-wide exposure. J.Cole’s debut album is set to be released in late 2010.
