MTV Names Travis Porter “Hottest Breakthrough Emcees From ATL”
Congratulations are due to the unsigned group, Travis Porter, who made it into MTV’s top 5 “Hottest Breakthrough Emcees of 2010″ list. The boys are the only emcees in that list from the hip hop hotbed Atlanta, Georgia!

Travis Porter, made up of Quez, Strap, and Ali, announced their record deal with Jive on November 29th. Prior to their major deal, the group had made themselves the hottest independent rap group in the country with over forty five million Youtube views, multiple singles reaching the Billboard charts, concerts overseas, and music videos in rotation on MTV Jams.
It'll be interesting to see what the boys do while under the major label umbrella, as they've already accomplished more than a number of artists who are signed!
