Interview: Nipsey Hussle – (8/26/10)

I suggest you download and listen to B.A.G.N.N. Vol. 1, B.A.G.N.N. Vol. 2, and B.A.G.N.N. Vol. 3, if you haven’t already.

Now, the L.A. native is preparing to release his much anticipated debut album, South Central State of Mind, on December 21st.  The project is currently eighty percent done, with its second single coming to radio soon!

HipHopAtLunch.com met up with Nipsey Hussle last night to discuss the upcoming video for “Feelin’ Myself,” his debut album’s official release date, working with Atlanta emcee Alley Boy, and the upcoming South Central State Of Mind: The Leak Vol. 1 mixtape.

It would have been great to hear Nipsey lay down a verse next to Alley Boy and Waka Flocka on “Shoot 4 That,” and it’s hilarious to hear him say that Lean was what stopped the song from happening!  Having said that, I’m sure that their upcoming collaboration is going to be hard as hell.

If you’re still sleeping on Alley Boy, check out his impressive Definition Of Fuck Shit mixtape hosted by DJ Holiday.  The Atlantic Records artist’s buzz in Atlanta is ridiculous.

Nipsey Hussle – “Gotta Take It” (Featuring Lloyd)

After hearing Nipsey and Lloyd compliment each other’s flow on “Gotta Take It,” it was only natural that they’d link up for a track on the emerging West Coast emcee’s debut album.  Here’s the album’s lead single, “Feelin’ Myself,” featuring Lloyd.
