Interview: Travis Porter (2/14/11)

At the beginning of the month, Travis Porter released their ninth mixtape with Music, Money, Magnums.

In true differenter fashion, the project was hosted by three of the game’s hottest DJ’s, DJ Drama, DJ Scream, and DJ Teknikz, while the three words in the title represent the three emcees’ lifestyle.

HipHopAtLunch.com met up with Travis Porter to speak about the motivation behind “Make Me Sick,” working with Big Sean, creating strip club anthems with FKi, and getting their fans involved on the Music, Money, Magnums mixtape.

In case you were wondering, that girl never came back for her second burger, ha!

Fans of Big Sean know that the Detroit emcee is a weed smoker, but it was cool to hear Traveeeeey quote Sean’s “Five Bucks” off of the Finally Famous Vol. 3 mixtape.  ”I’m in love with tree, I’m a Avatar.”
