Up To Speed: Mike Will Made It

Mike Will Made It started off producing for Gucci Mane at the age of 17 and the duo immediately knocked out some classic Gucci tracks such as “East Atlanta 6.”  The young producer’s music was also featured on all of the freestyles that appeared on Gucci Mane and Trapaholics’s No Pad, No Pencil Hood Affairs DVD.

Fast forward to today, and the 22-year-old runs his own production company, Ear-Drummer Entertainment.  The company’s quickly growing catalog includes tracks with standout artists such as Rick Ross, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, Future, Tity Boi, Shawty Lo, Lil Boosie, and Soulja Boy.

Below, I’ve included a few of the Mike Will Made It-produced songs that are buzzing right now.  You should recognize Future and Tity Boi’s names if you’ve been paying attention to the South’s rap scene as of late.  Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ “Tupac Back” single should sound familiar if you’ve been playing the radio lately, ha!

Mike Will Made It also produced the title track off of Future’s extremely successful Dirty Sprite mixtape and the standout cut “Ain’t No Way Around It” from the emerging Atlanta artist’s latest mixtape, True Story.
