The emerging Atlanta emcee released his latest mixtape, Definition Of Fuck Shit 2, this Tuesday.  In our feature interview with Alley Boy from last week, we spoke on the DOFS 2 mixtape and EP.   He also touched on a few of the tracks that leaked early, such as “Fuck With Me” and “Four.”

Last night, I met up with Alley Boy at the NYC listening party for DOFS 2. We spoke on a few of the standout tracks from the project, his tribute to Tupac, how the collaboration with Freddie Gibbs and Big K.R.I.T. came about, working with Trae, and more.

Below are the tracks that we spoke about in our interview.

Alley Boy – “Bring The Pain” ( Featuring Eastside Jody & Scalez)

“Bring The Pain” serves as a tribute to Tupac, with Alley Boy quoting “No More Pain” on the hook.  Here’s Alley’s opening lines, that he recited in our interview:

“Fuck a skeemask, this bare face,
No chase,
Straight drop,
Diamonds in my watch, you say ‘boy stop.’”

Alley Boy – “Rob Me A Nigga” (Featuring Freddie Gibbs)

“Rob Me A Nigga” is actually Freddie Gibbs’ song and will appear on the Gary, Indiana emcee’s upcoming Cold Day In Hell project.   K.R.I.T.’s hook on this cut reminded me of some old Three Six Mafia.

Below is an excerpt from Alley Boy’s verse:

“All he seen was my golds and the black mask,
Turn the car around the corner, tinted up with no tags,
All these niggas wanna flash, I’mma put it to they ass,
With the K out askin nigga, ‘where the sack at?’
Get hit, you wanna die for that Rolex?
Yo gonna either get your life or that watch back,
I’mma shoot you point blank, I just hopin you think,
You can take it as a loss, you can get it back,
Nigga buck and get shot that’s the street code,
I’mma leave it up to you and how this shit goes,
Just another episode, AK explode,
In his head, left a smoke hole,
Be a shame if he died over fake shit,
But that’s a lesson if he out here on some fake shit.”

Alley Boy – “Candy” (Featuring Trae)

R.I.P. Pimp C

It was a smart move to grab a verse from Trae on this Texas track, rather than going for the obvious Bun B-feature since the hook samples Pimp C.  If you haven’t heard the ”Tall” record that Alley Boy spoke about in our interview, I suggest you check it out!  It also has that Texas-feel.

Alley Boy – “I Ain’t Cool”

Shout out to Zaytoven on producing this fan favorite.  That opening skit is hilarious!

Alley Boy – “When I Die”

Grade-A-Muzik provides the beat, as Alley Boy speaks to God in “When I Die.”  Alley uses this track to reflect on his life.  Here’s the lines that were recited in our interview.

“The day that Alley leave please throw up a prayer for me,
I hope the Lord forgive a gangsta’s sins when he send for me,
All the dirt I did, I had no choice, I had to make some ends,
I had to feed my kids.”

Here’s the quote from The Mack that Alley Boy used to close out the tape:

“King,
Well I’m gonna be so cold blooded baby…
That they gonna have to change the name of the game, you know?
And then…And I’m gonna get the hottest bitches I can find,
With a whole boat load of money, and…
And then I’mma get myself some fine looking vines and a great looking ride,
And then I’m just gonna stir it all up”

Label: Duct Tape Entertainment, Atlantic Records

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Despite having been in jail for the first half of 2009, Alley Boy’s name remained relevant in the streets due to the support of his Duct Tape family and the success of Big Bank Black’s “Try It Out." Upon being released, the Edgewood, Atlanta native bounced back and signed a joint venture between Atlantic Records and DTE.

Alley Boy's co-signs range from DJ Drama, to Gucci Mane, to fellow emerging artist Pill, and the Atlanta tastemakers have already crowned Alley Boy's Duct Tape Entertainment the biggest street movement since BMF.
