Word is that this video was recorded earlier this year.   It’ll be interesting to see what song Lil Wayne decides to release as his first post-jail track.  I’m still thinking a G.O.O.D. Friday feature would be the best choice.

Here’s some visuals to the first single off Kevin Rudolf’s Sophomore album.  Dope shit.

Here’s a new one from Kevin Rudolf featuring Jay Sean, Lil Wayne, and Birdman.  Sounds like a successful radio track.

“4 My Town” is the latest single off Birdman’s Pricele$$ album which also featured, “Always Strapped” and “Money To Blow.”

The video sees cameos from a few members of Young Money Ent., as well as Rick Ross, who always seems to make his way into everyone’s video shoot.  The best and most hilarious part of the video is when Drake points at Birdman while singing, “I’m easily influenced by the niggas I’m around.”

Here’s Drake’s whole chorus:

“Take yourself a picture, when I’m standing at the mound,
Man I swear it’s going down,
I’m just reppin for my town,
Off a cup of CJ Gibson, man I’m faded off the brown,
And I’m easily influenced by the niggas I’m around,
See the Aston Martin, when I start it hear the sound,
I ain’t never graduated, I ain’t got no cap and gown,
But the girls in my class, who were smart enough to pass,
Be at all my fucking parties grabbin money off the ground.”

I’m not sure if the girls from Drake’s class are really coming to his parties and grabbing money off the ground, but that’s a hilarious image!

Despite Drizzy’s hook being the best part of the track, my favorite line comes from Lil Wayne comparing Young Money Ent. to a young Benjamin Franklin with:

“You know you’re paid,
When ya got baby with ya,
It’s young money, like Ben Frank’s baby pictures.”

No matter how many times rappers use Ben Franklin in their lyrics, it will never get old.

Birdman needs to get an award for continuously being able to surround himself with some of the hottest emcees in the game.  Stunna’s albums always promise a few hit records.

Lil Wayne – “On Fire”

The Cool N Dre beat for “On Fire” smoothly carries an 80’s rock vibe into hip hop.  This track’s definitely going to kill on the radio with its crossover appeal.

Most of the track sees Wayne singing in auto-tune over a wailing guitar, but we do get a few rap verses with:

“She hot as hell, let’s call her Hellen,
Fireman to her rescue, like 9/11,
Fucking right I make her hot,
She got the devil in her,
I do whatever with her,
Hell’s angel, I pluck her feathers nigga,
I am the fire spitta,
I start a fire with her,
Ok her flames high,
But I am higher, nigga.”

My favorite line from the track comes before that quote, when Wayne spits, “Shawty let a nigga rub his stick against her matchbox/ And she’s on fire.”  That’s pretty hilarious.

To be honest, I thought this track was going to sound a lot worse before I hit play, but now I look forward to checking out Lil Wayne’s infamous Rebirth album that is finally going to drop on December 21st.  I’m excited to see this album’s first week numbers, especially since it’s Wayne’s first release since Tha Carter III, the last hip hop album to sell a million copies in its first week.

Gucci Mane – “Bad Bad Bad” (Featuring Keyshia Cole)

Gucci Mane teamed up with Keyshia Cole for “Bad Bad Bad” off his album, The State vs. Radric Davis, which drops tomorrow.  FatBoi, who also produced “Wasted,” gives this track a heavy bass line.

It’s good to see Gucci Mane getting great collaborations on this album, and with the recent DJ Drama radio spot where Gucci and Jeezy squashed their beef, we can only hope that his first collaboration upon being released from jail will be with The Snowman.
